Trainings

for teachers of all kinds.

In the Master's in Puppetry: No String Attached course, passionate performer, puppeteer, and Early Childhood Educator Alicia Roo Parker shares, with her fellow educators, how puppetry can bring joy and connection to the classroom.

During the course, participants will experience the magic of puppetry with child-like awe and wonder. Then, they will have the opportunity to create a puppet character they can use to engage the young learners in their classrooms.

Storytimes

for schools and libraries.

During Miss Bunny’s Puppet Storytimes, passionate performer, puppeteer, and Early Childhood Educator Alicia Roo Parker brings to life a cast of her popular puppets for a classroom or any child audience.

During these Storytimes, Ms. Alicia and her puppets will spend 45 minutes with children while they interact, listen, and move through a myriad of empathetic and imaginative children’s books like “A Perfectly Messed Up Story,” “Thank You, Bear,” “Not Quite Narwhal”, and more enhancing their Social-Emotional Learning and increasing their empathy. Each child leaves feeling loved, seen, heard, and excited about Puppets!

Mentorships

for Denver ECE Educators.

During ECE Mentorships, Alicia comes into the ECE classroom in and around the Denver, CO area to help support an educator in connecting to students, shaping routines, using play as a vital practice, working with paras and associate teachers effectively, and more. This container is built on relationships, and Alicia can work in a 3, 6, or 9-month capacity once a month.

Tutoring

for children 3-8 years old for students with special needs.

Working one-on-one with Alicia, you feel her magic, and children know they are important. Each child will work on appropriate social-emotional, and academic skills with a plan that is just right for them. Plans are centered on play, story, song, fun, puppetry, and movement so engaging that students don’t even know they are learning!
